Kim Young Don, the Chairman of WONBONG Co., Ltd, the specialist in the field of environmentally friendly home appliances, was awarded ‘Korea Product Safety Award’.

‘Korea Products Safety Awards’ was established in 2014 and had its 67th anniversary. It is hosted by the product safety organization named. Korea Products Safety Association (Chairman Young Sik Lee). Every month it awards a person who has contributed to the improvement of national competitiveness by developing safe and high quality products. It also has been created to show the importance of product safety.

Kim Young Don from WONBONG founded the company in 1991 and is dedicated to developing various environmentally friendly home appliances such as bottled water coolers, water and air purifiers amongst a range of other products with the philosophy of making safe and convenient products. He designed the company’s on-stop systems from product development to after-sales customer service to prioritize safety.

Wonbong has been granted a large number of safety and design related patents such as safety valves interrupting the continuous supply of hot and cold water and and leak proof water purification systems (Known as Flood Guard) amongst many others. Each product is tested extensively (At least 100,000 times) and there are at least 50 test parameters for each new product under development.

Through its technological advances, Wonbong exports its product range to over 60 countries throughout the world. In the domestic Korean market, it’s lifestyle brand ‘RUHENS’ provides products and services with the expert’s delicate rental care service to technology for hygienic and safe use.
